Evidence That Environmental Toxins Are Everywhere & We Cannot Avoid Them
(Adapted from Dr. Sherry Rogers’ book, “Detoxify or Die”)

(Webinar Notes for part 1 in a 5-part series on Detoxing Environmental Toxins)

.

Introduction

It’s not what you have been “diagnosed with” but what has caused your “disease” that matters most.

It’s really about revitalizing or regenerating your body by detoxing from that which has caused the symptoms of your disease.

We need to reduce the “chemical load” on our body.

The secret to healing is getting your body so “chemically unloaded” and so “nutrient primed” that it heals itself!

Every symptom is just an indicator of what is broken.

Medication just shuts of those indicators and allows you to continue ignoring the cause.

By doing so, the disease causing deficiencies and toxicities get worse over time triggering what seams to be new symptoms and diseases which amount to nothing more than the progression of allowing your “poisoned world” to kill you!

The truth behind all sickness is simply that you must… Detox or Die!

The Coming Weeks

Tonight is our introduction: an overview of the toxic world in which we live, the sources of these poisons and what they do to you.

Then over the weeks to come I will show you how these chemicals get in your body and why you cannot naturally get them out allowing them to “stockpile”.

Prove how these underlying poisons are the cause of nearly all diseases and disorders.

Show you how getting rid of these toxins gets rid of disease.

Show you how to do it in your own home, how to get healthy and stay that way.

Environmental Toxins are Everywhere

Even people with very healthy lifestyles still develop disease.

None of us can escape being exposed, because the entire Earth has already been poisoned by tens of thousands of manmade toxins.

Disturbing man-made chemicals have been found in wildlife, plants, seaweeds, and fish in every body of water on earth.

No pristine areas on earth without the evidence of man’s toxic fingerprint

How?  Smokestacks disseminated toxins into the air (like dioxins and PCBs, the clouds carry these cancer causing poisons to every continent, every body of water, into the soil, into the plants, into every animal and all humans.

In Our Foods – From Plastics and Pesticides

Phthalates- outgas from plastic wraps, Styrofoam trays, plastic bottles and leach into our foods (one of the most abundant man-made chemicals) (and their hormone-disrupting, pesticide-like cousins, dioxins, HCB, PCBs, DDT, lindane and atrazine plus other EEDs like non-biodegradable detergents, polystyrene, trochloroethylene

So common in our foods that the FDA has established and average daily amount that we ingest

Industry asserts that small amounts are harmless but because they cannot be detoxified they bioaccumulate (stockpile)

Once inside the body they tightly hook onto cell parts and gum up their function

They damage hormone receptors (sex drive and energy)

The chemistry of phthalates resembles that of many hormones (hormone mimics)

Potent Environmental Endocrine Disruptors (EED)

Act as a monkey wrench by damaging hormone receptors (block or botch up the action of hormones and other cell regulators)

Cause things like infertility, fatigue, depression, mood swings, memory loss, endometriosis, loss of libido

Since hormone receptor sites are damaged, taking hormones is usually ineffective

EEDs increase the hormone-related cancers as well like breast, testicular, and prostate

Researchers accidentally discovered the estrogenic potency of their plastic test tubes because they already knew that adding estrogen to breast cancer cells made them grow wildly out of control and the samples in plastic test tubes did the same without estrogen being added

Damage brain chemistry (learning disabilities and hyperactivity)

Accumulate in the organs (trigger cancers and the prostate, breast, lungs and thyroid)

Mother’s milk

Styrene- in Styrofoam cups (found in 100% of people)

Dioxins (Agent Orange) – created in part through the manufacturing of plastics, pesticides and other chemicals (smokestacks into clouds into rain, soil etc.)

One of the most potent causes of cancer

No natural way to metabolize it

Nursing infants consume 18 times more carcinogenic dioxin in one year than the maximum “safe” dose as recommend by the CDC

Cancer has become the number one killer of children ages 1-15

Good idea to get these out of your body before you become pregnant

Some of the top drugs prescribed in US (Premarin for an estrogen replacement, and Synthroid for Thyroid Hormone replacement)

EPA biopsies show carcinogenic PCPs, styrene, and dioxins in the human fat

In Our Foods – Heavy Metals

Mercury- from bottom dwelling fish (shellfish) and larger fish that eat the smaller fish (and from vaccinations)

Cadmium, aluminum, mercury, antimony, lead, and arsenic- added from upstream industrial discharge, pesticide runoff, incinerator emission, manufacturing smokestacks, and aviation and auto exhaust.

Aluminum adds to the rising epidemic of Alzheimer’s disease.

Sourced from baking powder, giant vats used in commercial food processing, aluminum lined juice boxes and cans, commercial coffee makers, water heaters, thermoses and cooking utensils.

Once in the body they are still there years later because the human body has no way to completely metabolize them.

In Our Foods – Summary

Pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, molluscosides, fungicides, artificial fertilizers, growth regulators, hormones, ripening regulators, and well as food additives, dyes, coloring, flavorings, stabilizers, preservatives, all accumulate in and contaminate the foods we eat.

In Our Air

Plastics are everywhere- homes, office, institutions, and manufacturing sites.

Used to manufacture EVERYTHNG (i.e. teething ring!)

Plastics outgas into the air we breath everywhere we are.

Think of the smell of new vinyl, a mattress, computer, new car, blender, shoes.

Any chemical that you can smell will make it to your bloodstream (via your lungs or skin).

Air is contaminated from auto exhaust (heavy metals, pesticides, volatile organic hydrocarbons like formaldehyde, benzene, toluene and other Xenobiotics (foreign chemicals)) + industrial exhaust and we have a sea of chemicals.

Air is carried to all areas from cities and settles onto suburbs (no one is safe).

In Our Homes

Insulation in the 1970’s – formaldehyde (brain fog, headaches, depression, arthritis, asthma, nausea).

The average carpet outgases over a dozen disease causing chemicals (4-PC, benzene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, butadiene, methylacrylates, etc.

Pints, solvents, insecticides, greases, oils, lawn mower, gas cans, heated car engine, furnace, gas dryer, gas water heater, washing machine.

Various symptoms and mysterious diverse illnesses (body aches, migraines, mood swings, depression, nausea, stomach problems, bronchitis, etc.)

Construction materials (paints, wallboard, plasticizers in wall paper, phenols in plywood, formaldehyde in pressed wood, etc.)

Appliances and computers with plastic cases and plastic-coated wires.

Furnishing and carpets- hydrocarbon based glues, adhesives, formaldehyde stain resistant finishes and dyes, formaldehyde, pesticides and fire retardants in foam pillows and mattresses.

Trichlorethylene from dry-cleaning, moth balls, air fresheners.

Molds (humidifiers and air conditioners, unvented bathrooms, roof leaks, – allergic symptoms and powerful hormone mimics and lethal cancer-casing mycotoxins

And all the other out gassing chemicals (from plastics, rubber, furnishings, construction materials, and appliances).

Even chloroform from aerosolized water form shower spray.

And these are all breathed in or absorbed through the skin.

In Our Water

Average city water contains over 500 chemicals.

Question: why do you think spring water cost more per gallon than gasoline.

Real water has no taste or odor.

Water is contaminated in the same way as air (smokestacks, waste water, artificial fertilizers, pesticide runoff, heavy metals etc.)

Plus if that is not enough, to increase toxicity, they add: Fluoride and Chlorine.

Fluoride- a potent enzyme inhibitor which causes calcification of arteries, joints and ligaments, and contributes to many forms of cancer and osteoporosis.

No evidence that it decrease tooth decay but has been shown to decrease IQ and damage brain enzymes.

Linked to behavioral disorders, birth defects, flu-like symptoms and arthritis.

Damages enzymes much like heavy metal do.

Damages hormone receptors and other regulatory sites on the cell membrane.

Increases risk of bone cancer (osteosarcoma) and weakens bones as fluoride displaces bone minerals.

Death rates are higher among fluoridated communities.

Damages heart, brain, kidneys, and hormones.

Interfere with the metabolism of testosterone.

Very risky for children who have more immature detoxification systems.

Chlorine- free radical initiator, elevates cholesterol, accelerated aging.

Drills holes in arterial walls (lipid peroxidation) – the body then uses cholesterol to plug the holes- get it?  results in arteriolosclerosis.

Promotes cancer of the rectum and bladder.

Absorbed by shower in unfiltered city water.

Acidic chlorinated water leaches copper from pipes as well.

We will cover in future classes how to fix your water problem.

In Your Body

Mercury in dental filings- causes Parkinson’s disease, Mercury in immunizations- Autism.

Cadmium & arsenic in porcelain restorations have caused osteoporosis.

Methylacrylates- dental bonding adhesives have caused sudden heart attacks.

Phenols used to sterilize root canals have caused migraines.

Silicon from breast implants have caused auto-immune disorders like lupus, Chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia.

Titanium from hip replacements and cosmetics have caused cardiac arrhythmia.

Heavy metals in hair dyes have damaged kidneys and ceased cancer.

Coal tars in Psoriasis creams are similar to chemicals used in ONE dose to induce cancer in lab mice.

Pesticides- The number one culprit damaging more people than any other poison, (Lawns, commercial crops, roadside weed control, aerial spraying).

Difficult to find foods that (even organic) that don’t have some residue.

Fruit, veggies, grains and animals are all exposed.

The water used to grow produce or feed animals also contains runoff from pesticide fields.

And then they are covered with fungicides, vermicides and insecticides during shipping.

Pesticides are sprayed in schools, institutions, businesses, churches, restaurants and factories.  They are on textiles, furnishings, clothes, and in cosmetics, toiletries, papers, office supplies, and plastics.

Diseases from organochlorides pesticide exposure like Chlordane (now outlawed) and DDT have incubation periods for 20 or 30 years before they may cause devastating and confounding illnesses (looking like MS, ALS, Parkinson’s, mysterious neuropathies, or cancer).

DDT was banned in US decades ago but is still made here and sold to other countries.

In Africa, huge clouds of DDT made to control malaria then rain out over the US as well.

Pesticides or a related chemical is used to create Parkinson’s or cancer in lab rats using just one dose.

Like plastics (but worse) organochlorides pesticides (15,000 types) are even more damaging as hormone mimics, endocrine disruptors, immune and detox system destroyers.

Atrazine- most common pesticide used on corn.

The normal level of pesticides in humans is zero, but because there is no animal or human on earth with zero, it is now reported as “population average”.

Summary

Environmental chemicals are found everywhere, even 100 feet deep in Artic icebergs and in the Antarctic oceans.

All environmental chemicals have direct access to the blood stream and every organ of the body.  Once there, we DO NOT possess the mechanism to completely detoxify or get rid of them so they stockpile.

By the age of 6, some kids have already accumulated one half of their total life-time amount of cancer-causing chemicals.

These environmental mimics destroy the thyroid which is so crucial for brain development and us responsible for lower scores in scholastic aptitude as decades pass.

U.S. currently uses 30 times more synthetic pesticides than in 1945.

Industry relies on people being too busy, too tired, too sick, and too disinterested in taking responsibility for their health to ever take the time to learn these facts, much less do anything about them.

  1. Margaret R says:

Excellent important information. I knew quite a lot beforehand only because God had told me as I did research, but many people are not aware and many I have told don’t take any notice whatever. They are always complaining about what’s wrong with them; going out in prayer lines for healing. I did not know about the fumes off the carpet though. There are a lot of fumes that come off household cleaning sprays, I usually use a cloth over my nose & mouth so as to not inhale the spray. The same goes for spray deodorant. It is absolutely shocking the things we use & there are No Warnings about the dangers of inhaling ordinary everyday things used in our homes and also the absorbtion through our skin. Thank you so much for making me aware of these other things. So much to take in but, thank Yeshua, we are in contact with you clever people. Thank you again.
