Ask WellWithU: Coconut Oil

Published Date Author: , July 29th, 2010
I am interested in knowing more about coconut oil as protection against oil spill toxins.  How does taking or using this kind of oil help me?    Could you share what you think?

Coconut oil is an excellent way to protect your skin in ordinary circumstances; it would seem that under the extreme exposure to oil toxins by those directly touched (like cleanup crews) it would be even more critical.
Tropical oils like Palm and Coconut are healthy on the inside as well.  Both are an excellent source of MCFA (Medium Chain Fatty Acids) and both extremely stable against oxidation (great for cooking).

That it may go well with you,
Dr. Jeff
